The Chronicles of the Magical Programmer: Chapter 0

With his head alfamed with the dreaded mystical flames of Faltine,

He walks through the multiverse – radiating the darkest of magic, the very string of space twists as he passes by. He looks through countless universes much as you look through toys  -conquering them all like the Mad Being he is. Even now he wonders. He slowly but surely creeps getting closer and closer …….to children like you who won’t go to bed”

I remembered it perfectly. Even after all these years, I just couldn’t get it out of my mind. I was being difficult for my parents to deal with as I was too excited and bubbly to sleep. My mother decided that perhaps making some kind of boogie man would help. It was quite effective in making me sleep.

{̴̡̡̰̹̥̞͇̩̦̖̞̤̹̥͇̭̯̲̦͙̜̈́̒͒̀̓̕ͅ_̷̢̛̗̬̻͙͎̦͕̪̲̱͚̦̋͆̇̂̐̎́̓͋͋̀̇͘ͅͅͅ’̷̼̹̠̍̌́̀̒+̶̛͙̭̌́̊͑̌̄͊͘͜’̸̨̢̙̟̱̗͎̟̻̲̗̲͓̩́̽̋̎̈́̋̈/̵͖̩͕̯̗̲̭͖̤̯͍̪̳̤̫̻̫̩̝̯̞͖͋̅̓͋̈́̿̿̓̇̾̓͘͜͜͜]̶̛͍͕̟͖̯̫̮̬̺̬͈̩͓̮̞͚̖̖͇̣̹͊̓̈̓̒͒͜ͅ

Due to my Pamnesia, the words she had said stuck with me while I tried to sleep. My eyes flickered across the room -scared of the possibility that the boogie man would come. On several occasions when I thought a flicker of flame and a cackling laughter, it was too much for me. So, I fainted every single time I was in bed.

I’ve grown up from believing in such tales. Though I still remember that day clearly. It was the day before she and my father died. I wasn’t there for their deaths. A man rescued me from when the house burnt down. I can only guess that the Grimstone Family went to try and capture them. Besides that I can’t guess much.

But that man…was special. My Magical Formulation flared -allowing me to examine the supernatural information in code and formulas. I was too young to understand it but my instincts told me enough. This man was wrong.  An abomination to the natural world. His code was foriegn to reality.  For a second….before he left. I saw a flaming head and an angry yell.

I was planning on wimping out. Going to him of all beings. The greatest enemy of my master. My master could hate me forever. But then I felt the jolt of pain dig into my arm. The feeling of my life force and my magic being oppressed before being released….I remembered why I was going. This arm would stop me from my goal. I can’t save everyone if I don’t exist. It was also for a terribly, selfish reason. I loved lving and I was too scared to die.

So, I prepared myself. I left a note for my allies in the Mana Mobsters while I readied the spell. The lines of red and black in my arm glew -threatening to destroy my very existence. It always flared when I was going to use magic. Luckily, I was using a failure spell. I had attempted to create a water type spell but I accidently created a spell which launched me across space and time. I just had to modify it with an anchor which could direct it to the Dark Dimension. 3. I gulped realising the failure could be emminent. 2. I could stop the spell at any time….just needed to say the words. At 1, no worry nor doubt was in my mind for I believed in my capability to pull this off.

Now, as I teleported myself to the Dark Dimension, I didn’t land gracefully. Thud. My back hit a jagged rock but luckily hit the more flat side. Thud. My knee almost bashed into a spike. Thud. My head had nearly been pierced by the jagged edge of a rock. It was quiet as I fell. I wasn’t concerned for my body when I began falling but I did think if what I was doing was the smart decision. When I finally stopped falling, I stood up with the taste of iron in my mouth and a slowly forming black eye. “D-Dormammu, I’m…ome…to…bargain” Then with a loud Crunch,  my vision fade to back.
